Compare conveyancing quotes
-
Only consider CQS-accredited solicitors.
Don't waste your time comparing quotes from sub-par solicitors. In order for a solicitor to attain accreditation, they must pass a rigorous test by The Law Society for Probity and Quality. More and more, mortgage lenders are requesting that the solicitor acting for them should be a CQS solicitor. -
Check their reviews - poor service is never worth a cheap conveyancing quote.
Look at client reviews on Trustpilot. Any good company should have an average rating of 4 stars or above. Look for clear communication and responsiveness, successfully achieved time-scales and efficient legal work. -
Confirm they have the relevant experience
You can look up your solicitor to check they are registered and regulated as a solicitor, then speak to the firm to confirm that they have experience with the technicalities of your transaction. -
Watch out for unexpected extras
Below, we list the costs that should be included in your quote. Watch out for cheap quotes which miss any of these standard costs, as you'll end up paying more than you expect. Don't assume that a higher quote will mean better service either, and always compare cost and quality to find the best value. -
Are they on the lender panel
Your lender will have a select panel of solicitors who they will work with. Not all solicitors are on the lender conveyancing panel for all mortgage lenders. We are approved for 99% of mortgage lender panels*.
What should a conveyancing quote include?
Our conveyancing quotes are all-inclusive, which means your quote includes all the standard work for your transaction, including standard disbursements and the Stamp Duty Land Tax payable on your transaction. Your conveyancing consultant will run through any specialist requirements unique to your property or transaction with you when you instruct, so you know what costs to expect through the rest of the process based on your current information.
Do you offer freehold conveyancing quotes?
Freehold conveyancing can be completed quicker than leasehold because fewer enquiries about the lease and management pack exist. We can help with any freehold purchase, just select 'freehold' when completing our free online quote form.
