Mablethorpe is a pleasant seaside town on a sandy shore in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire. It's existed for many centuries, although the sea reclaimed part of it in the 1540s. It was the site of the first lifeboat station, built in 1883.

Attractions include an award-winning beach, a sand train, a seal sanctuary and a wildlife centre. It also hosts the Dunes Theatre and the Dunes leisure complex.
