Check and double-check your credit report for errors!
Before you apply for a mortgage, it's an absolute must to check what your credit rating is with the 3 main credit reference agencies, namely Experian, Equifax and CallCredit. Your score should be healthy and you should check the report for any errors which may have lowered your standing.
