Cromer is a seaside town in Norfolk. It is 23 miles north of Norwich, 4 miles east of Sheringham and is on the coast of the North Sea. Evidence for a settlement on the towns current location dates back to 1262 in a person’s will.

The town is known for being a coastal resort and has been so since the early 19th century. It was thought that taking time out by the sea had healing qualities and hence the increase in the towns popularity. The Cromer crab brings tourists to the town and is a major source of income for fishermen in the area.
Landmarks include the coastal cliffs, the Pier, the Church of St Peter and St Pauls and the Hotel de Paris. The Gothic Revival style Cromer Hall is also a notable building, built in 1829.
